Very PleasedWe just wanted to thank everyone at Prudential Rocky Mountain for helping us sell our home. Our agent worked so hard for us, we felt like we were her only clients. Not only did she bring us a full-price offer, it came weeks ahead of what we were expecting. Everyone at Prudential that we talked to or worked with made our experience a good one. |
Exterior MaintenanceMake a Good First ImpressionWhen a prospective buyer drives past your home, what do they see? Is your yard tidy and free of trash and debris? Is your home's paint or siding in good condition? Have you mowed your lawn and weeded your flower beds? When someone goes to see your home, first impressions are important! The first and easiest thing you can do is to give your home's exterior a good cleaning. Walk your property picking up any loose trash, doggie droppings, dead leaves or old car transmissions you may have laying around. Mow your lawn, weed your flower beds, and trim any trees or shrubs that may interfere with someone seeing the outside of your home. Anything that obstructs a window or a large portion of the exterior should be re-evaluated. Think about planting some brightly colored flowers to set in pots outside your front door. Make the entrance to your home feel inviting. All this will cost you no more than the price of some trash bags and maybe a few plants. Next look at the paint or siding on your home and other exterior structures you may have like garages, storage sheds and fences. Repair any missing or broken areas of your fence and restain if needed. Put a fresh coat of paint on those smaller outbuildings, and even on your home if needed. If a new paint job isn't in your time or budget, repaint your front door, as this is the place a prosepctive buyer will come in closest contact with. Look at other items like window shudders and ledges, a fresh coat of paint on these will go a long way. Only a couple of gallons of paint make these improvements budget friendly as well. |
