General Interior Maintenance

Look at your home as though you're seeing it for the first time

Walk through your home as you would a hotel room. Is every room uncluttered, dusted, and spotlessly clean? Check all those nooks and crannies that never see the light of day, because guaranteed, prospective buyers will look there!

Clean your carpets and wax your floors. Clean windows, wash walls, dust your light fixtures and use a little liquid gold on your woodwork and trim. Make your home shine like a showroom. Replace any burnt out light bulbs and use brighter light bulbs in areas that seem dark, like your foyer or windowless bathrooms.

Patch any nail holes or cracks in your walls and tighten any loose banisters or creaking floors. WD-40 squeaky doors and cabinets. Consider a fresh coat of interior paint. Remember, neutral colors are best for re-sale.

Pack away excess knick-knacks and unclutter everywhere. Organize shelves, closets and cabinets. Do whatever you can to make your home feel more spacious. Rearrange your furniture or put some of it in storage to allow for wide walkways and give your space the largest feel possible.

Open your curtains and fill your home with a subtle scent like vanilla or cinnamon. Maintain a comfortable temperature throughout all seasons.

And the cost of these improvements- mostly just your time, a few cleaning supplies, and some spackel.
