Education - BS in Civil Engineering, from the Polytechnic University in New York and an MBA in Real Estate-Urban Planning, from the American University in Washington, DC. Civil Engineering - over 20 years of progressive management in public works including construction and maintenance of Army family housing, buildings grounds and utilities for the US Army at installations and major commands. Environmental Engineering - over 15 years of environmental management for the US Army. This included compliance with state and federal environmental laws and regulations, pollution prevention, conservation of natural and cultural resources, environmental cleanup and a major breakthrough in the new concept of sustainability for future generations. Military Experience - as an officer in the US Army Corps of Engineers for 30 years, he commanded 3 engineer companies on active duty and a Strategic Psychological Operations Group and a Corps Support Brigade in the reserve. A graduate of the Army War College, Mike served in Germany, Vietnam and Korea. He retired as a Colonel and among his decorations are the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star, the Meritorious Service Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster and several Army Commendation Medals.
