Steve Engelking -I have been very fortunate with having been married for over 40 years to Marne, having two great sons, and now we have 6 wonderful grandchildren, our family is truly blessed. Steve was born in Iowa and moved his family to Colorado in 1976. His previous profession was teaching, so helping people came very natural. After getting his sales license he received his broker’s license in 1978. From there he became the manager of his first office in Longmont, Colorado in 1980. Steve has been involved with management side of real estate till 2007, when he and Shane Durben purchased the Johnstown location of Prudential Rocky Mountain, Realtors. Steve has seen many changes over the past 31 years, but the one with the biggest impact is probably the internet. Customer service is still number 1 but, capturing the consumer and giving that outstanding service is the challenge. Keeping up with the changes in our industry has been Steve’s greatest challenge, but the most fun. Over 31 years Steve has been chair or a member of numerous local and state committees and boards. He has been President of the Longmont Association twice, winner of the Realtor of the Year and the prestigious Wade Gaddis Award. When you give you always get so much more back, and that is what is really rewarding in Real Estate. If I ever had a mentor in real estate it would be Bill Moore owner of Moore and Company. I owe so much to Bill for helping me get a great start in this profession.
